All explanations are clear and extraordinary. But the point "Triple bond add two degree of unsaturation" was not explained rather you gave another explanation. I was not clear about it!! Concepts are getting easier now!! Thankyou so much bro!!!

See, just remember you need to count the no. of pi-bonds. A triple bond consists of 2 pi bonds and hence,DU=2 for it.

when we consider triple bond it has 1 pi bond and 2 sigma bonds .we have to consider in 1st case as1sigma 1 pi. and in case 2 we have consider the remaining 1sigma and along with 1 pi

Sir ,I didn't got the last example of the 4th slide ,there were proper 7 double bonds and one triple bond...my doubt is do we need to count the triple bond as 2 double bonds...so that the total no of double bonds we get is 9..please help me in clearing my doubt....and thank you for the wonderful work you are doing for us..!

yes one triple bond is equal to two double bonds as each double bond has 1 π bond same way 2 double bonds have 2 π bonds no of π bonds is equal to total no. of bonds - 1.

Actually you should take triple bond as 2 double bonds because double bind contains 1 pi bond whereas triple bond contains 2. Just count the no. of pi bonds in the given hydrocarbon
