At 5:23, how can be total increase in population be 5%, because individually men and women increase by 5%?

Sir I solved 2nd question by using options method and taking A as100. So will it be correct.
sir fresh fruit contain 32% of pulp now 100 kg of fresh fruit will have 32 kg of pulp and same fresh fruit are dried then 20% more water will be there so i think ans will be 32+20=52 please reply if its right or wrong thank you
