Virasat - e- Khalsa Musuem Built to commemorate 300 years of the founding of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh, the Virasat-e-Khalsa museum in Anandpur Sahib has emerged as the museum with the highest footfall in the country. Just over seven years after it was inaugurated in November 2011, the museum has been seen by over 97 lakh visitors so far. On average, over 5,000 visitors visit the museum daily, tourism department officials said.

  8. Naina Devi - Banga Road Union Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of the Naina Devi-Banga road upgrade project here on Monday. The 10-metre-wide road starting from a junction on the Nawanshahar-Phagwara (NH-344A) in Banga town till Kainchi mor will be made two-laned. For two bypasses at Agampur and Garhshankar, 52.82 hectares of land will be acquired at a cost of Rs 75.62 crore. The route will have two railway overbridges and two vehicle underpasses.
